Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) explain the agreement between you (“Parent” or “Client”) and Paige’s Childcare (“we”, “us”, or “our”) when you create an account, request childcare, or receive services through this website (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
1. Who We Are
Paige’s Childcare is a privately operated babysitting and nannying service. The Platform enables parents to submit booking requests, manage family information, and pay for completed care provided by Paige. All services are performed personally by Paige unless otherwise noted in writing.
2. Account Creation & Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile, children’s details, and emergency contacts up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account.
3. Booking Requests
- All bookings are subject to availability and must meet the minimum booking length posted on the Platform.
- Requested times must reflect the actual childcare hours needed. We may adjust or decline a request that conflicts with published availability or existing commitments.
- A booking becomes confirmed only after you receive a confirmation notice through the Platform or email.
- Incomplete family profiles (missing address, child, or emergency contact information) may prevent approval of new bookings.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please notify us as soon as possible if you must cancel or change a booking.
- Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in review or suspension of your account.
- If Paige must cancel, you will be notified promptly and no charges will be processed for that booking.
5. Fees, Billing & Payment
- Hourly rates, add-on services, and travel fees (if any) are displayed when you submit or confirm a booking.
- All card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Stripe stores your card on our behalf so that we can charge for completed bookings and agreed adjustments.
- We never see or store your full card number, security code, or bank credentials. Stripe provides only a masked card reference (brand and last four digits) for receipts.
- After each booking you will receive a receipt summarizing the hours worked, rates, extras, and total amount due. Unless you dispute the receipt before the scheduled charge, we will charge your saved card at 9:00 AM the next calendar day. If the receipt is issued after 6:00 PM, the charge will occur at 9:00 AM on the following day.
- If a charge fails or requires additional verification, you agree to provide a valid payment method within two (2) business days.
6. Responsibilities of Parents & Guardians
- Provide a safe and appropriate environment for childcare, including emergency contacts, medical instructions, allergies, and any special needs.
- Return home by the scheduled end time or communicate delays promptly. Additional time will be billed at the prevailing rate.
- Ensure adequate supplies, food, and transportation arrangements if off-site activities are requested.
7. Babysitter Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive childcare consistent with the information you provide regarding your children’s routines and needs.
- Communicate promptly if an emergency, delay, or safety concern arises during the booking.
8. Conduct, Safety & Reporting
- Both parties agree to treat each other respectfully and refrain from unlawful, abusive, or unsafe behavior.
- We comply with all mandatory reporting obligations. If child abuse or neglect is suspected, we will report it to the proper authorities.
- If the babysitter reasonably believes that continuing a booking would jeopardize safety, the session may end early. Charges will reflect the actual time worked.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The Platform is provided “as is”. We strive for uptime and accuracy but do not warrant uninterrupted service.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paige’s Childcare is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the fees you paid for the booking giving rise to the claim.
- Where local law does not allow certain limitations, those provisions apply only to the extent permitted.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Paige’s Childcare harmless from claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or negligence related to the environment in which childcare is delivered.
11. Changes to Services or Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, applicable laws, or business practices. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
